At Amanda Vidmar Design we expand the boundaries of the natural world to produce new, lush environments in the most unexpected places

Our florals blur the lines between terrain and architecture, movement and stillness, and elegance and spontaneity to draw your attention inward and engage you with the surrounding space. We work with local, sustainable farmers and grow seasonal blooms in our own studio cutting garden to bring a striking note of something different to every arrangement we create—because life’s too short to not go bold.

Our team is known for its atmosphere of collaboration, with every member an equal partner in bringing your story to life through flowers. Each of our arrangements involves far more than meets the eye — our designs showcase each of our client’s unique personalities, unafraid and authentically their own. We find that the smallest touches often have the greatest impact, culminating in original, meaningful florals that exist for only a moment in time.

Our Process

Our roots are in San Francisco, but we are always excited by the prospect of travel throughout California, the United States, and beyond. We are available for weddings, events, subscription accounts, and interior installations. Our minimum is $7.5k for weddings, and we are happy to work directly with your planner or on an individual basis. We’ll start by setting aside time to get to know each other, stop by for a site visit, and then add on all the magical details from there. Our goal is to create a peaceful, lighthearted environment throughout the entire process, from the moment we start brainstorming to the day you finally get to see it all come together.

about amanda vidmar

Amanda’s lifelong love of florals goes all the way back to the years she spent on a flower farm in her early twenties. Born and raised in San Diego, California, she first encountered the fleeting beauty of seasons when she was hired to work at Thomas Family Farm, an organic grower on the central California coast. She would arrive by 4:30 am to collect that day’s bounty, shining her flashlight across the sea of ranunculus just beginning to unfold their ruffled heads. She learned to honor the natural cycle of planting, cultivation, and harvest, and grew to appreciate the notion that good things—like waiting all year for the lilac to bloom—take time.

When she began designing and arranging florals on her own, Amanda carried forward this intentional connection to seasonality and the surrounding environment. She managed two floral design companies and freelanced for a number of well-known vendors before starting her own business, leaning on her years of experience and her strong foundation of insight into the intricacies of event design and production.

Amanda is inspired by the intersection of high design and human relationships, and she continually seeks ways to bring people together, whether through her artistry or a shared meal. Outside of arranging florals, Amanda can be found enjoying the simple, meaningful activities of everyday life—like exploring San Francisco with her German Shepherd, Jacob, getting her hands in the dirt at her local community garden, or throwing a damn good dinner party for friends.
